cup vegetable shortening |

cup Ralston® 100% Wheat Hot Cereal |

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease cookie sheet. Beat shortening and sugars until creamy. Add egg, milk and vanilla. Beat until fluffy. Stir together flour, baking powder and cinnamon. Add to shortening mixture; mix well. Stir in cereal. Drop by level tablespoons onto prepared cookie sheet. Bake 9 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Let stand on cookie sheet 1 minute before removing to racks to cool. Makes 3 dozen. |
